SOURCEFIRE 3D SYSTEM NAMED PRODUCT OF THE YEAR

Company Honored for Leading Innovation in Maryland

Columbia, MD, May 10, 2005 - Sourcefire, Inc.,the world leader in real-time network defense, today announced that the Sourcefire 3D System was awarded “IT Product of the Year” by the Technology Council of Maryland (TCM).  Sourcefire was recently named the fastest growing security company in the US and is widely recognized as the most innovative security company in the industry.  This is the company’s eighth industry honor since the beginning of 2005.

Sourcefire received this honor at the Tech Council’s 16th Annual Awards Dinner, recognizing Maryland’s leading technology companies. Nearly 900 executives throughout the Washington D.C. metro area, including Maryland’s Governor Robert Ehrlich Jr., attended the ceremony to honor this year’s winners.
