Sourcefire Education Policies for Instructor-led Courses

Payment
Sourcefire accepts credit cards (Visa, Mastercard and American Express) and company purchase orders that are accompanied with Sourcefire's signed sales order document. When a credit card is utilized, charges will be made at the time order is received and will be billed in U.S. currency. Training credits and/or registrations must be used within a 6 month period from date of acquisition or will result in forfeiture of class credits or tuition paid. Pricing, registration terms and conditions are subject to change without notice.

Substitution Policy
Student substitutions may be made at any time prior to the start of the class.

Cancellation Policy
Students may cancel a classroom registration without penalty by providing Sourcefire with written notice by emailing Sourcefire Training at least 10 business days prior to the start date of the course. Cancellations received within 10 business days of the start of the class are subject to a 50% penalty. Cancellations received within 5 business days of the start of the class are subject to a 100% penalty.

No Show Policy
Failure to attend the course will be considered a "no show" and will result in forfeiture of the full price paid or credits.

Reimbursement Policy
If Sourcefire is forced to cancel a course for any reason, Sourcefire will provide as much advance notice as possible. Liability is limited to the course fee only.

The Sourcefire Guarantee:


  • Student Guarantee:  Students may retake the same class/version once within 6 months of the original class attended at no extra charge.
  • Turnover Guarantee:  Any company that enrolls an employee in a Sourcefire class, who leaves the company within 60 days of the original class date, may enroll one additional employee in the same class/version within 6 months of the original student’s class at no extra charge.
  • Certification Guarantee:  If a student doesn’t pass the certification exam on the first attempt, they are guaranteed a second attempt within the original 60 day subscription period.
Guarantees are subject to space availability and require a 60-day prior notice and must be in the same product release number/version. A supplementary charge for new student manuals will be assessed if the student manuals distributed with the original enrollment are not used by the returning or turnover student. An authorized letter is required from the Company's Human Resources department when a turnover guarantee is executed. All guarantees must be utilized in a Sourcefire training facility on the posted scheduled dates.
